Moose Hollow, The Cascades, Wolf Lodge and Wolf Star are zoned for nightly/weekly rentals, so absentee owners have the option of renting their units when they are not using them to defray some of the ownership costs.
Typically single family homes in the valley are not zoned for nightly or weekly rentals. Long term rentals (one month minimum) are allowed. The two key exceptions are Trappers Ridge and The Fairways. These areas are PRUDs (planned residential unit developments) which have some of the features of both condominiums and single family homes. Each unit is a free-standing home on a small building envelope.
The remainder of the land surrounding the homes belongs to the homeowners association which is responsible for landscaping, lawn maintenance and snow removal except for individual sidewalks and driveways. These may be rented on a nightly or weekly basis.
